Vision

I spend hours walking along beaches, forest paths, and the streets of my neighborhood and city, captivated by the untamed beauty of weather. An approaching storm unfolds like a living drama—billowing clouds gathering force, winds rising with urgency, and a sky layered in deep shadows and soft, luminous hues. Trees and grasses bend and sway in rhythmic motion, as if stirred by nature’s own breath. When the storm passes, the world feels renewed. Sunlight breaks through, scattering brilliance across the landscape, and a quiet stillness settles in—like the cool embrace of freshly laundered sheets.

I carry this sense of movement, light, and transformation into my paintings, whether I’m inspired by turbulent skies or tranquil days. Living with color blindness, I navigate a world where reds, greens, blues, browns, and purples blur and shift in unexpected ways. Rather than limiting me, this difference has sharpened my sensitivity to contrast, tone, and motion. Through careful study and intuitive exploration, I build my own understanding of color—one rooted as much in feeling as in sight.

On canvas, I seek to capture not just the appearance of a place, but its pulse. With layered color and dynamic brushwork, I aim to create landscapes that feel alive—vibrant, immersive, and resonant. Above all, I hope to invite viewers into the story I experience outdoors: to feel the charged air before a storm, the hush that follows, and the quiet promise of renewal.
